New discoveries about another universe whose collapse appears to have given birth to the one we live in today will be announced in the early on-line edition of the journal Nature Physics on 1 July 2007 and will be published in the August 2007 issue of the journal's print edition.

That's pretty far out if you ask me. How can they claim they've discovered a universe? It seems to me that I've heard physicists say over and over that the laws of physics break down as you approach the time of the beginning of our universe. If we don't understand how things worked just after the beginning, how can we claim to understand what happened before the beginning? How will they begin to prove this idea with an experiment? It's not science, but a flight of fancy.
